Hundreds of students protest teacher strike outside Finance Ministry

Hundreds of students from across the country, together with the National Student Union, protested outside the Finance Ministry in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
"We are here to fight for our semester, and perhaps for the academic year as a whole," said Shlomi Yachiav, chairman of the National Student Union.
Eight public colleges did not start the academic year as a result of a teachers' strike that included senior faculty. The institutions included Tel Aviv-Jaffa Academy, Sapir, Kinneret, HIT, Hadassah, Azrieli, Rupin and Lev Academic Center.
The student strike entered its third day. Protestors will march from the Finance Ministry to the Knesset in Jerusalem.
