IAF suspends officer over relations with female NCO

Israel Air Force Chief Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel suspended an officer for 14 days, effective immediately, over suspected relations with a female non-commissioned officer who was under his command, the IDF said Tuesday.
The decision, which received approval from IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, will be accompanied by a Military Police investigation to "establish the circumstances of the incident," the IDF said. "The officer allegedly behaved in a manner that does not match the norms and values the IDF expects senior officers and commanders to hold," the military stated.
The IAF has recently launched a program to prevent sexual harassment within its ranks, and held a conference on the matter for all officers at the rank of lieutenant-colonel and upwards. Lectures and simulations were aimed at transmitting a clear picture to the officers of the boundaries they are expected to observe. The officers were then told to pass on the information to every soldier under their command.
