IDF begins July field unit draft cycle

The IDF announced the start of its July annual draft cycle for field units, combat support units, and additional military roles, set to begin on Sunday.
According to a questionnaire filled out by July 2015 draftees, motivation levels for joining combat role "remain steady. One out of every two candidates for combat roles is interested in joining one of the infantry brigades," the army said.
"As in the past draft, here too we saw a significant rise in the integration of women into combat roles," the army said. Additionally, in light of continued enlistment by new immigrants, the army has will launch a new program aimed at facilitating the integration of new immigrants into the military.
