IDF Chief: Syria withdrawal signifcant, but should not be exaggerated

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot spoke at a conference at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya on Sunday and commented on the US withdrawal of troops from Syria, according to Ynet.
"The American decision to withdraw troops is a significant event, but it should not be exaggerated," Eisenkot said. "For years we have been dealing with this front alone, and the IDF has operated independently in this area. We are working in the interests of the State of Israel, and the decision was made when the relationship between the IDF and the US army is at a peak."
