IDF D9 lightly damaged by explosive on Gaza border

An IDF D9 bulldozer was lightly damaged on Tuesday by an explosive device planted along the Gaza-Israel border.
The vehicle was on a mission to seek out and destroy border bombs, and it remains unclear whether the explosion occurred because the D9 found an old device, or whether this was a deliberate attack on it.
No one was injured in the blast. The D9 force continues its mission as normal.
The Ma'an Palestinian news agency claimed a total of 9 bulldozers were sweeping the area.
Meanwhile, Channel 2 reported that Gaza border residents reported seeing a number of rocket launches from the Strip. The launches are apparently tests and the projectiles were not aimed at southern Israel.
Channel 2 said two Iron Dome batteries have recently been deployed to the South; one to Ashkelon and one to the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional council.
