IDF Home Front Command launches four-day drill in Jerusalem

The IDF will on Sunday launch a four-day Home Front Command exercise in the capital, and Jerusalemites could see an increase in traffic by security forces this week.
Home Front Command units will be joined by emergency services to drill scenarios in Jerusalem, Pisgat Ze'ev, and Ma'aleh Adumim.
On Wednesday, the Home Front Command will test its rocket alert siren system in Jerusalem, at 10:05 am.
During the drill, units will hold mock operations in civilian areas. On Monday, authorities will set up a control room to serve the municipality and train rescue units. Later that day, drills in Jerusalem and Ma'aleh Adumim will see the use of smoke grenades and fireworks.
The IDF Spokesman Unit said the exercise has been planned ahead of time, and is designed to "maintain the readiness of security forces."
