Man who crossed into Gaza has family ties to the area

The IDF reported that a man was spotted crossing from Israel into Gaza on Friday afternoon.
According to IDF reports, the man entered northern Gaza around 12:30 p.m. local time and was in the hands of Hamas by the time IDF forces arrived to the area. From images seen, it appears that the man was unstable or drunk upon entering Gaza.
The man was born in Israel in 1997 to a Gazan father and Israeli mother who married in Israel, according to Hebrew-language media reports. The man's parents are said to spend most of their time in the Gaza Strip.
The incident is under investigation by security forces.
