IDF military court sentences terrorist for 35 years in prison

IDF Military Court sentenced a Palestinian terrorist for 35 years in prison and NIS 1,250,000 in fines on Sunday for his role in a 2016 terrorist attack in which an IDF soldier was killed and a civilian wounded, IDF Spokesperson Unit said.

Acting in collaboration with others, who were not sentenced at this time, the terrorist attempted to stab Israelis in Sha'ar Binyamin Industrial Zone near Jerusalem.

After attacking a civilian, they attacked IDF soldier Tovyah Yanai Weissman who fought his assailants after being stabbed, preventing them from murdering others.

A minor at the time of the crime, the name of the terrorist was not published.
