IDF says number of soldier suicides doubled in 2014, but denies link to Gaza war

The Israel Defense Forces on Friday released the latest figures on soldier suicides during the course of 2014.
The army said that 15 soldiers took their own lives, which is slightly more than double the number of suicides from 2013.
Despite the fact that the IDF was engaged in combat against Hamas during Operation Protective Edge, military sources insisted that the Gaza fighting did not contribute to the higher number of suicides.
