IDF: Terror attack was on Israeli side of border with Egypt

The terror attack that killed an Israeli citizen and at least two terrorists on Monday morning took place on the Israeli side of the border, the IDF stated.
Israeli workers were driving in two cars along the border when a road-side bomb went off. The bomb  and terrorists were on the Egyptian side of the border. The bomb hit one of the cars which flipped over, killing a worker.
A force from Golani immediately arrived at the scene and a gun fight ensued. A bomb carried by one of the terrorists then exploded. The terrorists were wearing uniforms, military vests and helmets, and were armed with AK-47 Kalashnikov assault rifles, fragmentation grenades and RPGs.
The IDF believed that there was a third terrorist also killed in the attack, but had not yet located him. While the IDF had yet to rule out that additional terrorists infiltrated into Israel, it said this appeared to be unlikely. The IDF added that the terror cell could be larger than three and additional terrorists could be in Egypt.
