IDF to destroy home of terrorist who shot dead Israeli on Passover

The IDF has submitted a decree to destroy the home of Ziad Awad, the terrorist who shot dead an Israeli during Passover, army sources said. The demolition - the first of its kind in years - will take place at Awad's home in the Palestinian village of Idna.

A senior army source said of the shooting, "This attack was planned thoroughly ahead of time. He is a Hamas member, and he used a standard [automatic weapon] to fire on the vehicle, before fleeing the scene on a motorcycle."

The Shin Bet, the police's Counter-Terrorism Unit, the police's crime scene investigation officers, and IDF all joined forces to track him down, the source said. Awad had previously been imprisoned for killing Palestinians he accused of collaborating with Israel.
