IDF's Turgeman: Army ready to stop arming of Hezbollah

Outgoing Ground Forces Commander Maj.-Gen. Sami Turgeman said Sunday that the IDF is prepared to prevent the transfer of weapons to Hezbollah in the event that the Syrian regime should fall.
Speaking in an interview with Army Radio, Turgeman said that, "Our assessment is that the regime will fall. We are in a race against the clock to improve our response to such an occurrence. We have forces prepared and ready for action."
Turgeman was set to finish his tenure as Ground Forces commander on Sunday after three years and replace Maj.-Gen. Tal Russo as OC Southern Command.
