IFCJ and EL AL fly lone soldiers home for the holidays

The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews announced this week that it has partnered with EL AL and the Association for the Welfare of Israeli Soldiers, in order to fly lone soldiers back to their homelands for the holidays.
As part of the initiative, members of El Al’s frequent flyers club will be able to donate some of their accumulated points for the cause. For each donated point, El Al will match an additional one and the Fellowship will complete the cost of the trip, with the goal of flying over 300 lone soldiers home to their families during the upcoming holidays.
"Lone soldiers in the IDF are exemplary citizens of Israel and the entire Jewish world,” President of the Fellowship, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein said in a statement.“These soldiers chose to serve and protect us all despite the enormous difficulties and lack of family support here in Israel,” he continued, “We hope all of them will be able to spend the holidays with their loved ones and promise to do all the necessary, with our partners, in order to achieve this.”
El Al CEO Eliezer Shakedi added that the company is “proud to take part in this special project.”
