Interior Ministry continues to expedite the arrival of Israeli babies from Nepal

Newly appointed Interior Minister Silvan Shalom (Likud) on Thursday agreed to continue to expedite the arrival into the country of Israeli babies born to surrogate mothers in Nepal in Nepal due to difficult conditions in the country as the result of the April 25h earthquake.
Due to damage from the earthquake and continual aftershocks, premature babies are being treated in a tent, rather then in the hospital
On Wednesday, Israel’s Ambassador to Serbia Yossi Levy, lost his son who, along with a twin sister was born this week to a Nepalese woman in Kathmandu. The Interior Ministry has already expedited paper work to allow Levy to return with the twins to Belgrade where he lives.
