Interior Ministry worker in Afula arrested over fake diploma

Police in northern Israel arrested a 56-year-old man on Monday who works for the Interior Ministry in Afula, as the Population Administration Manager, on suspicion of using a forged degree to obtain his job. According to police suspicions, the man presented a degree from the British University of Humberside. His position at the Interior Ministry "granted him many wage benefits," police said. The man was questioned by detectives in Tiberius and is due to appear before a court for a remand hearing.
