IPS: 220 Palestinians to be released in overcrowding relief

As part of the Israel Prison Service (IPS) mass release of 600 prisoners aimed at reducing overcrowding taking place Thursday, 220 Palestinians were being released, the IPS said.
Seventy of the Palestinians were classified as security prisoners and the remainder were arrested for illegally entering Israel. None of the security prisoners were convicted of serious crimes, the IPS noted.
