Iran deal 'terrible,' says House Speaker Ryan

US House Speaker Paul Ryan said on Monday at the AIPAC conference that Israel has "no greater friend than America," after railing against the Iran deal and the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions movement to large applause from the audience.

Criticizing the Iran deal as "terrible," Ryan said, "we all wanted the talks to succeed, but we were supposed to get something out of it. It's not a coincidence that every few months we see a new missile test." He said the deal had in fact "legitimized Iran's nuclear program."

Ryan also called for the expansion of missile defense funds for Israel, and promised that under his leadership the House would fulfill all its commitments in military assistance to the Jewish state.
