In a show of military power, the Iranian Navy sent its first fleet of warships to the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday, Tehran's semi-official news agency Fars reported.The fleet includes two warships, Khark logistic and helicopter-carrier warship and Sabalan destroyer.
While this is Iran's first foray into the Atlantic Ocean, it is the 29th flotilla dispatched to international waters, according to Fars.The ships were scheduled to sail 25,000 nautical kilometers in the next three months."Iran has a message of peace and friendship for the world states and seeks to show its defensive power to the world by sending its fleets of warships to the international waters," Admiral Seyed Mahmoud Moussavi, the deputy Navy commander, was quoted by Fars as saying.Iran sends two warship in first foray into Atlantic Ocean
