Iraqi forces clear Islamic State fighters from town near key base

Iraqi forces have cleared Islamic State fighters from the town of al-Baghdadi near a key base where US troops are conducting military training, recapturing the police station and three bridges over the Euphrates, the US military said on Friday.
Iraqi Security Forces and tribal fighters from the Anbar region cleared al-Baghdadi with the support of US-led air strikes, the military said in a statement. The town is located near Ain al-Asad air base where US Marines are training the Iraqi military.
