Is Israeli pianist Daniel Barenboim going to conduct Berlin Philharmonic in Iran?

Daniel Barenboim, the Argentinian-born world renowned pianist who made aliya and has earned a reputation in recent years as one of the harshest critics of Israeli policies in the territories, may soon be performing in Iran.
European news outlets are reporting that the Berlin Philharmonic and the Iranian government are in talks about a possible concert which would take place in Tehran.
The event would be significant in Israeli eyes given that Barenboim currently serves as musical director of the philharmonic.
The rumors of a possible performance are just the latest sign of growing cultural and economic ties between Iran and the West since the signing of the nuclear agreement between the Islamic Republic and the P5+1 powers.
