Israel, Cyprus and Greece hold joint firefighting drill

Israeli, Cypriot and Greek firefighters took part in a joint emergency drill in Cyprus this week which began on Tuesday.
Israel sent 26 firefighters, six pilots and three firefighting planes to take part in the drill.
The Likud MK Nava Boker said the drill reflects a turning point in efforts she and other made to improve Israel’s fire and rescue services in recent years and is only the first of many future cooperative efforts.
Boker, whose firefighter husband was killed in the 2010 Carmel Forest Fire, is chairwoman of the Knesset Subcommittee on Firefighting and Rescue Services.
