Israel doing important service for Europe, Netanyahu tells Belgian PM

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel in Jerusalem on Tuesday to discuss the relationship between the two nations.
Netanyahu discussed trade and the fight against terrorism with Michel. He told the Belgian prime minister that it is important to regard Israel as one of the most powerful forces against terrorism in the region and as a vital intelligence-sharing partner.
"In this regard, I think that Israel is doing an important service for European nations, including Belgium. We will continue to cooperate on the fight against terrorism and many other issues that I believe are important for the security of our citizens and our future," the Israeli prime minister stated.
Netanyahu also spoke about the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, citing the lack of recognition of the State of Israel by the Palestinian leadership as the main roadblock to peace.
