Israel makes it into Top 20 of best places to be born

The Economist Intelligence Unit, a sister company of The Economist, calculated where would be best to be born in 2013, placing Israel at number 20 on the list.

Using a quality-of-life index based on subjective life-satisfaction surveys to determine the quality of life of people across the globe, Israel came in twentieth, ahead of Britain, France, Italy and Spain.

Switzerland is the best place to be born in 2013, according to the global survey, whilst Nigeria, Syria and Pakistan rank near the bottom.
