Israel Medical Association chairman Leonid Eidelman reelected

Israel Medical Association chairman Dr. Leonid Eidelman was reelected on Tuesday to a second term, with 245 votes in the organization’ electoral body versus 140 votes for challenger Dr. Yehuda Ullman. The delegates comprise the body representing tens of thousands of physicians in the country.

Eidelman, an anesthesiologist, said that despite disputes among the membership in recent years, especially during the last physicians’ strike, “the decision was clear. The IMA continues to work for the doctors and public medicine,” he said.
