The Israel Medical Association sent an urgent letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday demanding he refrain from making cuts to the health budget, according to Army Radio. Twenty-three doctors signed the letter, writing: "There is a nine million shekel shortfall due to the [high] rate of Israeli citizens' expenditure on private health insurance," which is one of the highest in the world, according to the report.
