Israel opens first ever embassy in Rwanda

Israel opened its first embassy in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda in central Africa.
Roni Adam, the first Israeli Ambassador in Rwanda, submitted his credentials to the Rwandese foreign minister and said: "Rwanda has many things in common with the State of Israel and there is a broad basis for cooperation."
Israel had previously reached an agreement with Rwanda, which was supposed to receive African migrant workers from Israel, but President Paul Kagame withdrew his agreement because of pressure from human rights organizations.
