Israel police: Cameras are to protect, not to invade privacy

The Israeli Police Foreign Press Spokesman released a statement on Tuesday regarding the installation of security cameras at Temple Mount, saying that the cameras serve to "protect and guard public safety.""
The statement added that the police do, "not use any type of camera that harms privacy in any way and has no intention of using such cameras in the future.""
