Israel Police caution beach-goers about stormy seas, lack of lifeguards

The Israel Police have cautioned Israelis and tourists about swimming in the ocean with lifeguard supervision in light of a spate of drownings.
"Our recommendation is to not enter the sea," the police statement said. The police also warned swimmers that, should they choose to enter the water, to drift with powerful tides instead of attempting to swim against them.
The warning comes a week after the drowning death of beloved Israeli pop star Amir Guttman. Four other people also reportedly drowned in the last week.
