Israel to build Yitzhak Shamir Heritage Center in West Bank

The cabinet approved $13.5 million for a heritage and tourism center in Area C of the West Bank, dedicated to the memory former prime minister Yitzhak Shamir, who was in office from 1986-1992.
The center will focus on his contribution to bringing Jews from the former Soviet Union to Israel and his efforts on behalf of developing settlements in Judea and Samaria.
