Israel to hold nationwide earthquake drill in schools Tuesday

The Home Front Command in cooperation with the Education Ministry and local authorities are scheduled to hold a nationwide earthquake drill Tuesday morning in schools beginning at 10 a.m., the army said on Monday.

“The Home Front Command and Education Ministry will continue to engage in raising the preparedness for emergencies in education institutions by regular drills and training, as part of the overall system of exercises throughout the year,” the army said in a statement.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit emphasized that the drill was planned in advance as part of the IDF’s yearly training exercises.
