Report: Israeli authorities to reopen Kalkilya checkpoint after ten years

Israeli authorities are planning to reopen the Eyal crossing leading to the West Bank city of Kalkiliya after ten years of disuse, officials in the city of Kalkiliya told Palestinian news agency Ma'an on Sunday.
According to the agreement reached with the Israeli authorities, Palestinians with Israeli citizenship will be allowed to visit Kalkiliya in private vehicles between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. They are to return via checkpoint 109, Ma'an added.
The decision will be be put into affect as of June 7, according PA Director of civil affairs Muhannad Shawar.
