Israeli-Ethiopians rally in Tel Aviv against racism, police violence

A couple hundred protesters took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Monday, as renewed demonstrating ensued on behalf of Israeli's Ethiopian community against racism and police brutality.
Large numbers of police and Border Police forces were stationed at central squares in the city ahead of the demonstration.
The demonstration came ahead of a cabinet meeting slated for Tuesday to discuss the prospect of establishing a ministerial committee to promote the social integration of Israeli citizens of Ethiopian descent.
Large-scale protests in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem occurred over the past few weeks after video footage surfaced in late April, depicting two police officers assaulting an IDF soldier of Ethiopian descent.
