Israeli firm to build NIS 20m. Ghanan biogas facility

Gedara-based firm Taasiot Energy, also known as Techenergy, will be establishing a NIS 20 million biogas generation facility at a landfill in Kumasi, Ghana.
In the near future, Taasiot will begin drilling in the area near the landfill, in order to determine the exact quantities of electricity that will able to be produced from the garbage there, the company said.
The project will be a complicated venture, as the landfill is giant and has operated for decades, and no one planned in advance to safeguard all of the gas that has accumulated as a result of the garbage, Taasiot CEO Zion Suki said.
