Israeli gymnastics coach accused of kicking athlete

Israel Gymnastics Association officials will meet with rhythmic gymnastics national team coach Ira Vigdorchik on Tuesday and demand an explanation to the report that she kicked one of the squad's gymnasts, Ekaterina Levina, during training this past weekend ahead of the World Cup event in Kazan, Russia.
Vigdorchik and the squad only returned to Israel early Tuesday morning and will participate in the Israel delegation's gathering at Kfar Maccabiah on Tuesday afternoon ahead of next month's Rio Olympics.
"On the face of it this seems like a serious incident which demands an immediate inquiry," said the IGA regarding the report which was first reported by Haaretz. "The team will arrive early Tuesday morning and upon its arrival we will take all the required measures to clarify this incident.
