Israeli lawmaker calls for outlawing racist soccer fan group

This week's violence said to have been perpetrated by Beitar Jerusalem soccer fans in Belgium has prompted outrage in Israel.
A lawmaker from the centrist-secularist Yesh Atid party called on Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein on Saturday to outlaw a faction of Beitar fans known for their notoriously racist and xenophobic chants and behavior.
MK Yoel Razbozov sent a letter to the attorney general over the weekend demanding that the so-called "La Familia" group of Beitar fans be declared an illegal outfit.
