Israeli nominee Gett loses in Best Foreign film category at Golden Globes

The Israeli divorce drama "Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem" lost Best Foreign Language film to Russia's Leviathan at the Golden Globes early Monday morning.
Gett, synonymous with the writ of divorce under Jewish law, is an indictment of Israel’s misogynistic divorce laws, shown through one woman’s struggle to divorce a husband she no longer loves, who refuses to grant her a divorce.
Other films up for the honor were Ida from Poland, Force Majeure from Sweden and Tangerines from Estonia.
