Israel's UN envoy Prosor calls on Security Council to condemn rocket fire

Ron Prosor, Israel's Ambassador to the UN send a strongly worded letter on Tuesday to the UN Security Council amid the rocket attacks from Gaza on southern Israel.
"At this time missile sirens are going off in different parts of Israel and rockets are being fired at Beersheba, Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Beit Shemesh.
"Hamas is firing on millions of Israeli citizens indiscriminately. In one hour over 65 rockets were fired," Prosor said.
"Israel's leadership is obligated to stop the firing and the acts of terror against its citizens. This is the duty of every responsible government," he added.
Prosor said the Security Council had the duty to condemn Hamas and the terror against Israel and to call for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to dismantle the unity government with Hamas.
