Italian PM invites Israeli ministers to Rome

President Shimon Peres met Tuesday with newly sworn-in Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta.
Letta said he stressed the importance of strengthening the good ties between Israel and Italy expressing his intent to invite Israeli ministers to a meeting in Rome, some time in the first half of 2013, meant to strengthen mutual cooperation.
During the President's visit to Italy, the two discussed the country's economic crisis.  Also discussed were the issues of Iran, Syria and Lebanon, and the resumption of peace talks with the Palestinians.
