Labor-Gesher MK Itzik Shmuli said on Tuesday that the planned protest in support of Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu is an attempt to “barricade in” the government “while attempting in a blunt and dangerous way to poison the masses with conspiracy theories.”
Among many of Netanyahu's supporters the accepted narrative is that he is not corrupt, but that powerful forces within the country’s elites are attempting to oust him from power.
