Jeb Bush adds presidential aspirations to his holiday greetings

WASHINGTON -- Wishing the people of Florida and of the greater United States a merry Christmas and a happy Hanukkah, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush added some details of his family's holiday deliberations: Whether or not he should run for the White House.
After debating the matter over Thanksgiving, Bush said in a message on Facebook, "I have decided to actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States."The brother of former President George W. Bush and son of former President George H. W. Bush Jeb said he engaged in "conversations and thoughtful consideration" with his family over "the kind of strong leadership I think America needs."
Bush enters the race at an early stage. His colleagues in the Republican Party evening the presidency have thus far refrained from publicly saying so, save for Rand Paul, the junior senator from Kentucky.
Should he decide to launch a formal campaign— an exploratory committee is the first step, enabling Bush to raise funds for a launch— he will be cast as the second legacy candidate in the 2016 cycle. Hillary Rodham Clinton, former first lady to President Bill Clinton, is expected to run on the Democratic side.
