Jerusalem Film Festival kicks off with Sultan's Pool gala screening

The 26th Jerusalem Film Festival opened on Thursday night with a gala screening of Erez Tadmor and Sharon Maymon's A matter of size in the Sultan's Pool. A ten day celebration of cinema, the festival program consists of a panorama of International and New Israeli Cinema, prestigious local and International competitions, special tributes to world-renowned film figures, professional panels, workshops and live musical performances. Israeli competitions include the Wolgin Awards for Israeli Cinema and The Drama Award in Memory of Anat Pirchi, International competitions include the In the Spirit of Freedom Awards , the Forum for the Preservation of Audio-Visual Memory in Israel Award for the Creative use of Archival Footage and the FIPRESCII competition for first time filmmakers.
