An Arab man was allegedly attacked by a group of Jewish girls in the capital, Jerusalem District Police said on Sunday.
The police received a call that an Arab man who works at a store on Jaffa Street in downtown Jerusalem was attacked with tear gas by a group of young Jewish women.
The wounded man described the attackers to officers who arrived at the scene, and three suspects were detained for questioning following extensive searches.
"The police call upon the public to act responsibly. The police will act with zero tolerance toward any violent incident or an attempt to harm public safety," it said.
