Jewish schools in Belgium close amid terror threat

Jewish school districts in Belgium cancelled classes on Friday, after the country raised its terror threat level a day earlier following counter-terrorism police raids on suspected Islamists.
According to Belgium's Joods Actueel, schools in Brussels and Antwerp cancelled classes in wake of the terror threat, a situation the Jewish community deemed "too dangerous" for school to continue normally.
This assessments was based, the paper said, on an internal security analysis, which cited warnings to embassies in countries that have a large Jewish presence about being potential targets.
The schools will remain closed until further notice.
