Jim Gaffigan cancels Israel show due to wife’s illness

Due to his wife’s illness, comedian Jim Gaffigan has decided to cancel a June 30 show at Tel Aviv’s Mann Auditorium, along with his entire tour.
The comedian’s wife and writing partner, Jeannie Gaffigan, is in recovery after undergoing surgery to remove a life-threatening brain tumor.
Two weeks ago, an MRI revealed Jeannie had a large tumor around her brain stem. “After nine hours of urgent surgery the tumor was completely removed,” Jim wrote on Facebook. “She is now recovering at home.”
The comedy couple, who wed in 2003, have five children together.
Gaffigan has apologized to his Israeli fans and promises to try and come back as soon as possible.
