J'lem man suspected of raping foster children

Jerusalem police on Monday announced that they had detained for questioning a 22 year-old man who was suspected of sexually abusing two girls, aged 10 and 12 years old, who had been living at his parents@@@ home as foster children.
A police spokesman added that the man, who has denied the allegations against him, was also suspected of systematically raping the two girls over the last year, based on testimony given by the girls.
The man, who has not been identified, was brought before a Jerusalem District Court judge on Monday and his remand was extended for four days. Police said that the investigation into the allegations was ongoing.
