Jerusalem District Police Commander Aharon Franco on Wednesday said that it would be impossible to completely eradicate all incidents of stone throwing in Jerusalem.In a meeting of the Knesset's Internal Affairs Committee, Franco said that there are some 500 incidents of stone throwing each year. He added that 700 stone-throwing suspects were arrested this year, but half of them are minors that cannot be punished.
