Jordan to provide logistical support, training to Iraqis

Jordanian sources told the Asharq Al-Awsat pan-Arab daily newspaper on Friday that the monarchy was willing to expand its role in the global fight against Islamic State.
According to the report, Jordan will train and provide logistic support to Iraqi tribes to help them stave off Islamic State fighters, which have overrun large chunks of the country.
Aid will also include command centers and control rooms to oversee security and intelligence operations.
The officials added that the United States will send CIA officers to the Middle-Eastern country for security coordination and exchange of intelligence against Islamic State.
