A 48-year-old Israeli tourist who fell and suffered an open fracture of her ankle in Wadi Ram northeast of Aqaba in Jordan was rescued Sunday by a local helicopter and transferred by ambulance to a Magen David Adom mobile treatment center. The Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem and the Jordanians cooperated in a seamless effort to get the woman to Eilat's Yosephthal hospital, MDA said.
