Juppe: Assad crackdown is 'blind, brutal repression'

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe called on those responsible for the deaths of more than 90 people in the last few days to be brought to justice, the Kuwait News Agency reported.
The French foreign minister said that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad@@@s violent crackdown on anti-government protesters "blind and brutal repression." Juppe called on the Syrian authorities to "respect he basic rights and liberties of their citizens in line with their international commitments, particularly the right to demonstrate peacefully and the freedom of the press."
Juppe said that "inclusive political dialogue and reforms that meet the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people" could bring Syria back to stability.
