Jury unable to reach verdict in case of Jewish NY boy missing since 1979

NEW YORK - A New York jury on Tuesday said it was unable to reach a verdict in the trial of a former deli worker accused of kidnapping and murdering Etan Patz, a 6-year-old Jewish boy who went missing in 1979.
The panel, whose note about being deadlocked was read out loud in court, was in its 15th day of deliberations in the trial of Pedro Hernandez, 54, at state Supreme Court in Manhattan.
